Hello i need advice on how to perform the bulgarian ring dip correctly, to avoid injury.

I mean how should i do the bulgarian dip? What are the technical cues the best way to prepare my shoulders.

I hope to see some replies.

Do the Bulgarian dips cause you problems?

The best preparation is to follow and master the F1&2 progressions that precedes Bulgarian dips.

No i haven't tried them yet i have already completed every single progression before bulgarian dips.

I ask how to do the bulgarian dip to avoid doing the movement incorrect and injure my shoulders.

What would be the safest way to do bulgarian dips, and what is the correct form?

Jon Douglas

If you have mastered all strength and mobility elements up until here you should have no problems. Correct form is illustrated in the video and focus points.

Do you have an injury history or something that makes you especially  cautious?

I have mastered all the previous progressions, Mobility is an absolute no problem for me in my upper body i am way further in foundation with mobility.

Yes i have injuries from when i started training ( not foundation) but that isn't that important, since i want to keep my question direct i wil introduce myself later, and talk more about the injuries.

My question is what are the key points ( cues), in the bulgarian dip i have seen the video and pictures, but it doesn't give me inof feedback.

Do i have to keep my back protracted or neutral, shoulders rolled forward? or neutral, Chest up, or neutral, how you would describe the exercise if you had to explain it.

Jon Douglas

Some protraction as you begin to lower, body straight/hollow. Mostly i find that aiming to keep the elbows up and in line automatically corrects the movement at the shoulders.

Okay thank you this is what i needed to know.
