finding exercise videos and if too easy

i am new to your course. I signed up for the Foundation course level 1, i am having a bit of trouble with a few things. At times i find the Foundation page where it lists 6 "skills" with multiple steps such as FL and then they are numbered from 1-26 or so. i cannot access beyond the first 6 steps, which i understand will cost me to buy more courses? Of the first 4 skills, i have been able to do all 6 steps fairly well already though not to easy for a few a them. sometimes, i cannot seem to get the video that explains what the notation stands and other times, i just click on it and it appears. i am not a computer idiot but i seem to be having problems.

however, when i go to my "weeks schedule," i am having a very hard time figuring out where i can find the video of what i am supposed to do. for eg FL1 is fine because it corresponds to the 2 letters from the Front Lever etc but what does PE stand for??? also since i find some of these quite easy, what do you suggest??

also i want to alter the number of days i said i would train, where do i do that?

lastly if i can do the first 6 steps of the SP and SL will i be able to access the more advance steps without paying more, or is it waiting for me to complete a certain number of steps first?

thanks,

PE - Prepatory Elements; Elements which prepare your body and connective tissue for the furthur abuse they are going to take following the later foundation courses, and strengthen the ligaments, tendons and muscles so you will not get injured in the advanced PEs and SEs (see below).

SE - Specific Elements; Elements which are specific to advancing and progressing in a thoughtful yet taxing manner towards the desired Final Element. (Front Lever, Straddle Planche, Single leg squat etc.)

Foundation 1 contains only the first 6 PEs of the whole bundle of progressions, to advance furthur above PE6 you will have to buy Foundation 2 which contains more advanced PEs and some very little SEs. (you can see in the dashboard)

If you want full access to the whole Foundation course you can buy the whole bundle which contains Foundation 1 through 4.

I strongly suggest you upload a form check on this forum to see if those exercises (PEs) which you are certain you mastered are really mastered, as form is very crucial and you might have compromised it in the process.

Also, both strength and paired mobility exercises must be mastered (all sets of each done back to back with no additional rest) before you can claim mastery and move on to the next exercise pairing.

thank you to both of you for your answers. most appreciated.

I agree with Atai and Keegan - make sure to upload form check videos for the strength and mobility components of each exercise to ensure that you have indeed achieved mastery. And make sure there is literally no break time between sets. Should be non-stop strength, mobility, strength, mobility, etc.

At the beginning of my GB journey, I thought I had mastered a number of elements, only to discover that my form was off and I was taking way too much break time. I've had to go back a step or two a number of times on a number of different elements, but every time I've learned something. A lot of these exercises are deceptively difficult when performed at a mastery level ^_^

Best of luck and welcome to the journey!

please excuse my ignorance but when you say "upload form check video" i take that to mean that i should upload a 30-45 second video of me doing the exercise so that it can be commented upon?

i certainly have no problems doing so and having more experienced people critique. However, i did not want to look like a dork by uploading several videos and people wonder what is this nut case uploading videos of

himself for:)

so please advise.

thanks again for all of you for your comments.

Hi David,

yes exactly :) ... I upload videos to YouTube and mark them as "unlisted" so they aren't viewable by the General public. Then I post the link to my videos in the body of my post in the "form check" section of the forum.

If you go to the form check section you can see the general format of the posts so you don't feel lost.

Hopefully this helps! Let us know if you have any more questions.
