You need to get your shoulders higher. Work on getting the correct height before adding the long timed holds. Keep working on the IM too you will get some more range over time.
i'll try it tomorrow and i might make a video!
Thanks for helping me ryan
If someone wants to add something in the form checks i've posted lately feel free i'd highly appreciate it!
this is the better form i can have ( rounding the back ). when i do this form I feel a little lowr back disconfort ( i have L3-S1 all degenereted ) but nothing so serious
Video is private
Your scapula are off the ground now, good job. I can't comment on the back discomfort you will have to judge that for yourself.
This is almost erring on being a little too high.Think of rolling up from the top of your chest and keeping the 'bottom' of your chest low.
Be careful if this is causing pain, put your focus on really pressing your lower back to the floor.
This looks fairly uncomfortable for you so give it enough for you adapt to it.
i'm sorry but my english is terrible and I don't know if i've understanded what you've just said.
U saying that in the last video i'm too high and it's wrong? or you are saying that going to high it's unecessary?
actually, i don't feel any pain during the exercice, it's when i go to IM in top position
If i do like the first video most part of my back is touching the ground, and i don't feel any pain in any moment
If i do like the last video, when i'm curving myself, the part of my back that is touching the ground is exactly the same part where i have the back issues, so bending the back and pressing my lower back to the ground is not really confortable , but it doesn't cause any pain during the exercise and in the IM top position i can feel that there is something wrong.
i'll try to explain the pain... imagine if you were doing a plank and only your feet and your elbows are touching the ground (no hands, no forearms ) now press the elbows to the ground for some seconds, after that you will be feeling something like i'd call 'bone disconfort' it's the same thing i feel in the lower back
as higher i put my head, as less my upper back is touching the ground, higher is the disconfort
No worries on the English, my Spanish is worse!
About the height, it's not 'wrong' but you don't need to be that high and there are moments as you struggle that you actually are too high. Let's say back it off about 25% and see how that feels and looks.
If I'm understanding you about the back pain, maybe you just need to put a thicker mat or other padding under you back?
yes, a little detail can make the difference, thanks!! i'll follow yours suggestions and when i'm able to reach 5x60s i'll post here again to know if i can go to PE2!
thanks again guys
