"New students should always start from the beginning. This means PE1 (progression #1) for each element such as front lever. For your first workout, do week 1. If that is easy, try week 5 for the next workout. If you pass that, do week 9 and finally you can test out at week 11. You must be able to do week 11 in order to move to PE2. Many students have imbalances so it is normal to work different levels for different elements. For example, Front Lever PE1 Week 3 and Side Lever PE3 Week 7 could be trained" (from GB Quick Start Guide).

Are the "weeks", e.g. week 1, refering to the equivalent "steps" inside Workout Scheduler, and "levels" in the quote above? Are deload weeks counted as an actual week?

Template, in the Quick Start Guide, is saying: "Select week", and template, on the current GymnasticBodies.com, is saying: "Select step".

Sorry for any inconvenience concerning my confusion about this matter! Have a fantastic day!

In the past, what is now called "steps" used to be "weeks" with the (now "unnumbered") deloads also counted as separate weeks:

Week 1 = Step 1
Week 2 = Step 2
Week 3 = Step 3
Week 4 = Deload

Week 5 = Step 4
Week 6 = Step 5
Week 7 = Step 6
Week 8 = Deload

Week 9 = Step 7
Week 10 = Step 8
Week 11 = Step 9
Week 12 = Deload

Things in motion, stay in motion! I'm two weeks into Foundation F7 2 Day and a couple of weeks of focused effort down with the stretch series - it's THE best investment I've ever made toward my goal (aiming to become a national gymnastic team member 2020)!!

However, currently I'm "only" able to complete Foundation on Thursdays and Fridays. What is your point of view from a strategic standpoint? Go hard on Thursday and deload on Friday or simply wait for the forth week, which obviously is a deload week, and go hard on those days during three weeks with matching steps until then?

Have a fantastic day :)
