One question concerning the new course.

Really, only 1 liter of water? I always thought of 2 liters of still water per day as a minimum (following recommendations like 30-40ml per kilogram of bodyweight). 1 liter per day would be much too less. Or should that be only a first duty for people who drink insufficient?

Coach Sommer

Obviously this is the introductory step as many people initially are drinking little to no water.  You are welcome to drink more.  However you may not drink less and at this time will only be held accountable for the 1L per day.

FNP - Think about all the other liquids you are drinking through out the day. Assuming they are quality sources they too add to your hydration level. No they do not count against your water goal but they do have an effect on hydration. Below is an theoretical example of how that could spell out.

Upon awaking you drink a glass of water and 1-2 cups(.25-.5L) of coffee.

In total you drink .5L of water before lunch

At lunch you drink a cup of iced matcha green tea(.25L).

In-between lunch and dinner you drink your other .5L

With dinner you pop a bottle of the bubbly (Sparkling water) Say you drink(.25-.5L)

In this practical day I have outlined for you, one would drink 1 liter of water per day, .5-.75L of coffee and tea, and, .25-.5L of sparkling water for a total of 1.75-2L of water daily.

I am not saying that you guys have to share my love for matcha green tea, it is just an example of how 1 liter of water per day does not exactly equal 1 liter of liquid per day. 1 liter of water per day is a minimum number, not a maximum number.

To other readers - I am not asking you to drink 1 liter of water per day and then the above listed. To the contrary, I am asking that you drink 1 liter of water per day minimum. The definition of minimum is "no less than 1 liter". The definition does not have an upper limit.

Well, thank you both for the explanation. Seems i wasn't thinking of other liquids, because usually i drink no coffee or soft drinks or alcoholic stuff, only still water. Indeed, green tea now and then (matcha rules). Looking forward to the coming tasks.

Don't forget that this is just week 1. Expect the sets and reps to increase for a full 5 sets of 5 liters of water until mastery.

5 sets of 5 liters of water, lol, now that might kill you.
