F2 sPL exercises out of sequence?

So I finally made it to F2 in most exercises.  I finished sPL/PE7 (planche bounces) and am starting on sPL/SE1 (Frog Stand).  However, the linked mobility exercise (sPL/SE1>iM) is listed as the Bent Arm Half Straddle Planche Hold.    This doesn't make any sense- it's not a mobility exercise (all the sPL iM's up till now have dealt with hip mobility), and it's wayyy too hard to make sense at this stage in the progression.  sPL/SE2 (Advanced Frog Stand) again looks like the correct exercise for the progression, but then sPL/SE2>iM is the Bent Arm Half Straddle Planche Single Leg Extension, which again, seems totally out of sequence.  Tell me this is a website mistake, because I'm not even close to being able to do those holds!  It looks like all the iM exercises for F2 sPL are not correct.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Planche is straight arm support variation. Said that, along 90% of my clients i noticed that:

-when doing upperbody supported IM variation (like donkey kicks of bench) they have no idea of their current range of motion with butt muscles, legs lower then horizontal, asymmetrich feet elevation, twisted hips, different internal rotation on shinbones etc

-when they got sensibility of feet position while supporting the upper body they have an advantage: move the hips and legs when upperbody is fixed is completely different from doing it while upperbody is not completely supported

For this reason when they reach feet confidence they need to properly use this confidence when upperbody is supported by arms and not by bench. the goal is the isolation of butt muscles instead of lower back muscle during the arms-supported version.

Also what i've noticed that not enough lean for both floor and elevated lean  is crucial. Can you post please a video of your lean ?

Do a PPP with your legs straddled , pause at the bottom, lean/move forward as much as you can handle, pull your feet so your knees are 90 degree angle, pull your legs apart with your glutes.

Don't let these monsters discourage you, their freakish gains over time have made them lose touch with reality :)

This iM is in fact very hard, and if you do a search you'll find that many people had the same concerns as you. That being said, if you've gone through the previous elements diligently, you're ready to start working on it without getting injured. Just get over the fact that the iM is harder than the PE and you can then start coming up with a plan to tackle it.

There are people who have given their own specific strategies, and these can probably be found with a search function. Most find that the hardest part is getting into the position, and Mats gives a good suggestion above.

The way I first did it was was by starting on my hands and knees, squeezing my elbows against my rib cage while simultaneoulsy bringing my upper body down and lifting my knees off the ground. Then, while partly supported on my elbows I would lean forward until I had the balance right, and would then open my elbows a little to remove their assistance. At first I could only float there for a second or two, but I followed the 10 second mastery template until I could consistently hold it for 10 seconds. It's not super elegant, but it works until you get strong enough to have a pretty entry.

Good luck!

sPL/SE1>iM is very difficult! Compared to the previous mobility element, It represents a quantum leap in terms of both strength and skill required. How is your PPP? As said above, now is a good time to make completely sure that you mastered the skill properly: if your hands weren't far back enough, your strength will likely be insufficient. Don't be discouraged if it takes you time to learn this element. Zack and -MR have some good advice on building the skill element. If you have a friend who can spot you into the hold, that may also make it easier to "feel" the right position.
