If an injury or illness causes one to miss a de-load week, should one just move on to the next week or should one repeat, and thus complete, the de-load week before moving on?

Hi Milkman,
I would say that certainly depends on the nature of the injury or illness. If you are able to return to training with no pain from the injury and no fatigue from the illness, then you might be able to get by without completing the deload week. That said, in my experience most people who take a full week off due to injury or illness cannot return to full training right away without pain or fatigue, and thus the deload week would be more beneficial.
Best,
Chris
thanks Chris. that really helped .
whenever i went back to full training after missing a deload week due to illness , i always felt extra fatigue .
now , i will instead do the deload week if i miss it .
