Wife is struggling with RC/PE1 Hing Rows

I've been doing the program with my wife for about 6 weeks now, it's been great so far.  The only problem we've run into is my wife not being strong enough to perform hing rows.  She can get 1 good one, a second decent one then really struggles.

Is there anything she could do to scale this movement short term and/or supplement with barbell rows or pulldowns?

There are a number of threads on this. It's common, even for people who already can do pull-ups and rows.

One solution is to have her do holds in the top position. Basically, get into the top position (hips under rings, arms at 90 to body and elbows at 90) and hold there. This is also tough but it helps with strength.

If the movement is awkward, she can also connect a theraband to an anchor at chest height and perform the arm motion. Basically a standing row to external rotation. I've never seen this tip before for hinge rows but I found it useful and occasionally use it as a warm up.
