Urgent Scapula Check

They look kinda winged, he should try sPL/PE0.5, maybe a version on the wall, standing or in his knees.

Winging of the scapulae refers to the scapulae protruding from the body wall when one is attempting to protract the scapulae.

 

In this video your son demonstrates good protraction of the scapulae during the press phase and I see no signs of winging. On the retraction phase your son is able to disengage the serratus anterior muscle at some points which allow the scapulae to move away freely from the body wall momentarily. As he is young and very low body fat, you can really see the medial border of his scapulae but that in no way constitutes winging.
