I've been looking at the Foundation 1 programme and it looks very promising.

However, I have only about 20-30 minutes gym time available each day unfortunately.

Is it worth trying despite this? Are there ways I can modify Foundation 1 to make it work for this limited amount of time?

yes, there is :)

you could either break it up into press, pull, legs, core and cycle through those progressions, assuming you're going to be doing some sort of stretching after exercising or simply experiment with how many progressions you can do in 20-30minutes with including warm up, cool down.

Break it into three sessions then of 3, 2, 2 of the movements and do one each day.  This way you can hit every exercise at least once per week.  If your recovery allows it you could even do each session twice/week, for a total of 6 days training since your sessions are so short.  This way you could still do every movement twice each week.

But you should be able to fit 2-3 of the exercises into a 30min session if you move through at a decent pace and limit your rest between exercises.  This will also help your conditioning.

Thank you for the good advice.

I have decided to go with getting the F1/H1 set.  You guys are quite right, it's pretty straightforward on how to break it up into the shorter timeframes.  Did a first set of exercise today, very enjoyable.
