Hi. I made a video of my tuck-planche-progression over 24 weeks. I made a video every 8 weeks.

My goal is a straddle planche. Progression feels slow but the video shows that it is getting better. I am not sure how to continue. Maybe i will do some kind of straddle-L-planche or a full straddle-planche with some weight pulling my hip up (i could do 7second strad.planche with 12kg pulling me up) to come closer to the final position.

Do you think the progression is to slow or is it ok like that?

Try negatives into straddle planche from HS or pressing out from tuck to advanced tuck and to straddle. Consider this skill work and continue working on the holds ( possibly to a decreased amount due to the prior skill work. ).

hmm try to work the straddle planche position more, i can do straddle planche a few seconds and i doubt i can hold a tuck planche as long as you. how's your active straddle flexibility?

besides that congratulations on your progression :D

thanks for the tips. i tried the negatives and they are more difficult than i thought. i will train both (negatives and pressing out) for a while and see how it works.

my active straddle flexibility is ok but i think i can improve on that too. but i am not sure how to train this. do you have ideas how to train the active flexibility for the straddle planche?

the power splits on the extreme rings, side kicks with holds along with training the splits

For flexibility in the straddle planche, try coach sommer's Youngs. It is an exercise especialy designed to that end.
