where to start

I feel like there is a place where people pull more information about a specific exercise other than the couple of pointers listed below the video. Am i right?

Where do i post video's to see if i have correct techniques?

Have you guys ever thought about a run through you tube video for people who are just getting started? For example:

You've signed up now what ?

A) read the entire course (video showing where exactly you are talking about on the course)

B) test your skills if you are a previous athlete click here (show them where to click) and so on....

I think this would save a lot of confusion in the end

we need a guide so to speak. If someone is interested in this i would love to help organize it. Being a beginner all the questions are still fresh. And without going through the learning curve yet i think i would be very beneficial.

Seriously, start with reading the course material, throughly.  I think that suggestion is part of the inital e-mail technical supports sends when you purchase the course material.

As you read the course material pay close attention to the information found in the section titled "Getting started."

You will find more specific information on the progressions found in the course within the private subforums listed below the general forums.

If you want your peers to critique your performance you can post your videos in the  "Form Check" subforum. If you don't want to post your own videos for critique by your peers feel free to compare your performance against the performance of the athlete in the course video.

When you get to the private Foundation One subforums read the threads titled "New to Foundation One? Start Here" and "Foundation One Exercise F.A.Q."

Before you start a new thread the use the search function that can be found near the upper left hand side of your screen.

If you need help from technical support click on the little oval near the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

Above all else, if you want to be treated like an adult, use the tools that are currently at your disposal. If you want to be spoon fed all of the information expect to be treated like a baby.

Yeah, tough love but you need to read the material and think for yourself. Much of the insight to be gained is going to come only from listening to your body as you go through the exercises.

Coach gives us a perfect map to climb the mountain we are all staring up at. The part you need to do is climb, fall, scrape, and conquer each checkpoint. The map is designed to keep you going up, but it is your job to keep yourself going forward. Along the way you will need to be resourceful and as you do so keep checking the map to make sure you are where you need to be.

Happy climbing.

As someone who's relatively new to GB but has trained strength and conditioning for many years, I think the exercise specific info is hard to find. I'm familiar with searching forums, studying the video and checking the wiki, but I'd love to have a decent list of form pointers on the exercise pages. The forum should be the place for discussing the exercises in depth, not for finding out simply how to do them in the first place.

With that said, I think the wiki is a great idea and I'll continue to forum search to get the info.
