HBP/PE1 mastery form check

My suggestion would be to maintain a straight line from feet through the hip to the shoulder. You tend to push

the hips backward at the top (and emphasize the rounded back). This makes the end of the exercise easier.

Also you might be elevating your shoulders at the end too. But it's a bit hard to see.

I tried to hold a top position with hips more forward and i thought that im not straight as i should be . I will fix that this Friday. Thanks !

I didnt concentrated on depressing that much becouse i thought that shoulders will drop down naturaly (to some point) in this position, which seems it doesent work. I will fix that also.

Btw, when i depress scapula in this position it feels kind of strange and like i cant depress normaly, while in normal pushup position i dont have that problem. Is that normal, should i ignore that strange feeling ?

I think it might feel strange because your back is so rounded.

It might help to warm up by just holding the top position (leaning on the table) for a 3x10s before you start the pushups.

Close your eyes and feel the body position. By doing this, hopefully you will then be able to feel the difference during the

push ups and know where you body needs to finish each repetition.

^ and tempo needs some work, but i think it still passes??

The tempo should be smooth and uninterrupted. If you need to take a break during a set, you did not master the exercise.

Also remember that they iM IS the rest break in between working sets. Your video cuts between your iM and your next working set,

suggesting you needed a longer break. Keep at it until you can do the Pushups and iM back to back without additional rest.

I didnt rested, i cutted some unnecessery pieces bettween strenght and mobility (1-2 maybe 3 sec). :)

Thanks for editing that. It's always a minor pet peeve of mine when I go to watch a form check and I have to spend 45 seconds just waiting for the person to get into position.

The form looks ok to me, but there are "cuts" in the video between your PE's and iM's. Not sure if this is due to you stringing many shorter videos together or you cutting out wasted/rest time. Remember that you must complete all 5 sets of the PE/SE and the iM with no additional rest (the iM is the rest between the PE/SE). If you had to rest longer than it took you to do the iM between sets of HBP/PE1, then you did not demonstrate mastery and need to stay on this one till you can.

I cut unnecessery pieces while i watch video. I film almost every workout so those 20-30 sec which i cut from every video takes much more place on my pc and lets not say how much spece i have on it. Also it uploads on Youtube faster and its not boring to watch how im getting into position. :)
