When is it safe to say that your shoulders flexibility is good enough for open shoulders in a handstand?

When you've mastered all the shoulder IM's...there will be no doubt that your shoulders have the flexibility!

Easy test. Do handstand, is it stacked correctly? Is it aligned correctly? Then you've got open shoulders.

When you have little more than 180° active flexion without arching your lower back

A reasonable test in therm of shoulders flexibility it's the hs/PE4 on elevated surface.

This version could be done on 2 variations:

-passive flexibility variation: can you move the weighted bar lower then shoulders level without sacrifice the hollow position and PPT?

-active flexibility version: this time you can try to perform this exercise with the lightest bar you can find, and try to use the traps to pull it beyond shoulders level while holding and hollow body position (yes the same of HBhold).

I did some flexibility courses where the test for upper body flex were superficial. on the other side i remember when our national coaches director suggest that the functional shoulders flexion must be demonstrated when the body cannot compensate. this situation is achievable with proper hollow body position held while moving the arms above the full flexion with the thumbs crossed together.
