As form checks have become very popular for Foundation One, we are giving them their own forum.

How to Post a Form Check

  1. Video yourself performing one set of the element(s) you are struggling on. If you need help with both the strength and mobility portion, do both on the same video. If you need help help with multiple element aspects, do each as a separate video. Be considerate in the number of videos you film at once.
  2. Upload the video online. Youtube or similar services are fine as long as the video is unlisted and linked anywhere but here.
  3. Create a new topic in this forum with the name of the element (e.g. SL/PE1). Multiple elements should be separate topics.
  4. Describe the specific form question(s) you have.
  5. Embed your video by clicking the Special BBCode button on the toolbar, selecting Media and pasting in the URL.
  6. Post the new topic

We encourage all our students to participate in the community and help each other out but please keep in mind that no one is required to review your video for you.

One customer per form check; when viewing other members form checks, please refrain from interjecting personal comments and questions. Keep your comments directed towards the original post.

In order of authority on critique/advice on videos:

  • Coach Sommer
  • GB Coaches
  • GB Athletes
  • All other community members. If you are not sure on the accuracy of a particular feedback comment, please ask polite clarification. Discussions of this nature often benefit all involved.

When I start a new topic my tool bar does not look like the picture you posted. I do not have a "Special BBCode" button. I have an "Insert other media" button that will let me "Insert existing attachment" or "Insert image from URL." People don't seem to be having trouble posting form checks, so what am I missing?

The interface seems to have changed since this was posted. It's enough to just copy paste the link to your YouTube video into your post, the forum backend will normally automatically generate the embed code. Even if it doesn't it's no big deal as long as the link is there so mods can find your video.
