Basic Questions

After starting foundation one for 2 weeks, these are a few questions I have, ranging in specificity:

1. If an exercise has two parts (e.g. working/stretching one side, then the other side) and it says to do it for 30s, is that 30s each side or 15s each side? Or if it says 10r, is that 5r each side or 10r each side?

2. For the planks on the sPL progressions, it says to curl your back. I have always been taught that this makes the planks easier, and that the back should be straight.

3. In the Manna progression, the half leg raises progressions that follow the V-up progressions seem easier than what came before...5x15 straddleups and V ups seem much harder than 5x5 half tucked leg raise and 5x5 leg raise...am I missing something?

Thanks guys!

1: 30 seconds each side

2: The point is not so much to make the planks hard, as it is about teaching the correct bodyshape, which you will use later in the sPL progressions.

3: You're working through blocks of exercises. So you start on the floor, going from easy to hard. Then you move to the stall bars, going from easy to hard. Then to paralletes, etc. Don't worry, it'll get hard again; for now just rejoice in the fact that you find something easy.
