Front lever/planche progressions question

I have been doing FL tucked holds up to 3 sets X about 10 seconds and front lever pulls i.e. tucked dead hang pull to tucked inverted hang 3 sets X 3 reps though last set I usually need to reach up w/ feet and hook ring straps and "help" with my legs. I know there is quite a bit of overlap and wondering would I bet better of continuing with this or switching to 6 sets of just one or the other? If the latter, which one?

Same question for (planche) lean and planche press to hand stand (figured out a way to use chair to support feet and at this point use a lot of leg assist--do 3 sets of each or 6 sets of one or the other...?

Thank you!

Keegan

Neither, you should be following the Foundation program just as it written and seeking to progress through each movement by performing mastery of each strength exercise and paired integrated mobility element.

How do you know if the guy wants an optimal progress?!

A lot of strong people have been through F1, the consensus is follow it. You can play around with anything you like AFTER your Foundation work.

Because he is asking for advice on what the best course of action would be to progress in Planche and Front Lever progressions. If he didn't care about making progress he wouldn't be asking questions.

That aside, if your fl work has yet to finish F2 level I wouldn't bother wirh tuck lever work myself :) you'll make bigger strides towards it with the straight-body conditioning plus rope climb progressions at this stage :)
