Of course no mastery. Your version respectively the leverage would be easier in my opinion.

Also why would you want to mix machines in if the original movement is supposed to be done just on the floor without any apparatus? :)

Using that machine above is definitely easier than doing the movement on the floor to mastery with both legs and upper torso off the ground.

The original movement is not performed on the floor, it's on a pommel horse. I understand and accept the leverage point that SLY pointed out but it's hard to find a piece of equipment in the gym that will allow me to perform the exercise with legs horizontal - a normal gym bench is too low.

this version is very very easier.during the foundations version you max leverage on horizontal is exactly in the top part of movement, while with hyper extension once you passed the 90° the movement becomes easier. for that reason i usually eliminate the hyper extension with my clients , only one case : the person is not able to perform at least one reps. but usually it's not the case if you have mastered PE1 and 2

If your gym has plyo boxes, grab a tall one and place it in front of something you can hook your legs under. I used the cylindrical pads on those decline sit-up benches.

Probably I'm the only one, but I didn't notice much difference in doing this exercise with the 45° angle machine or with the one where you're horizontal....

If it is complex for you to this exercise with the proper setup every time because you don't have the equipment or a spotter, maybe you could just train to mastery (or something more) with that 45° angle thing and after that you try horizontal...if you demonstrate mastery then you're done...

Good question. I am dealing with similiar equipement/lack of partner issues on the Mobility part for SLS SE3 iM through SLS SE5 iM.

What are we supposed to do? Hoping to get some staff feedback.
