Mn/PE2

Just wanted to check the form.

FL/PE2

It was the last set and I got tired by rep 30, so my head started to push without my body..

RC/PE1

Can anyone give me some tips on these progressions? Thanks!

Hi!

MN/PE2: It would be good if you show more reps to know how is your tempo and overall form with some reps. For what I see, overall good form, but you need more compression.

FL/PE2: You use your legs enough to doesn't allow rocking with the hips (tucked). Don't use momentum from the legs. The ROM is good.

RC/PE1: Try to stabilize the hips to not bump up and down. Looks good to me.

I will do a repost with the tips you provided. Thanks Adriano! :D also, to clarify, can you explain a bit more how the rocks should feel without leg momentum?

It's a bit hard to explain, but I like think your legs kick start the movement in the first rock but then you keep the rocks going by holding full body tension AND by virtue of having a good hollow position so that you don't bleed off momentum by smacking your back on the mat AND a slight push and pull from your midsection.

Basically you want your movement to come from your "core" (hate that word) and not so much your hips and legs.

Also, during FL/PE2 if you look at the angle between your legs and your torso and compare it to the demo video you'll see that yours are around 90 degrees while the athlete's in the demo video are more like 60-70 degrees to his torso. His feet are also closer to the ground and form more of a "/\" while yours are up higher in the air and form more of an upside down "L".

That change in center of gravity is making the rocking motion more difficult for you and is likely why you are feeling the need to pump with your legs.
