Are there any fun skills (circles etc) that i could be working on to go alongside my f1 and h1? I get this work done in the mornings and then by the afternoon i just want to do more?
Many thanks

Hate to say it, because it's probably not the answer you're looking for, but at least early on in F1/H1 I'd focus on that exclusively so you can progress more rapidly and recover well. The other skills will come much easier and safer once your base is layed with these programs. M1 is coming out soon, and would be a nice adjunct if you're looking for other stimuli, but just be careful not to overdo it. Tumbling, short bouts of running, martial arts are also all good options. Circles etc should wait until strength is prepared for them to minimize injury risk and optimize recovery.
Yeah i suppose that does make sense. i'll just keep working hard through the work i have and try not to get too carried away. Thanks for your response MT Nordic.
Circles can utterly wreck your lower arms if you're not prepared for them. By default, most people's hands, wrists and forearms are not prepared for repeated, dull impacts. Working circles now will most likely just result in forearm splints and/or tendon issues.
What you *can* start working now, is basic support position drills: warm up by holding front, rear and side planks. Then do another set where you're leaning slightly over your hand(s). Another drill you can do is to "walk" yourself through a circle: start in a front plank, then try to keep one hand on the floor and use your feet to move into a side plank; go all the way around this way, doing your best to keep your core tight and your hips as straight as possible. Working shoulder flexibility (so you can get your arms behind you) will help a lot, too.
You can also work include basic tumbling: front/backwards rolls, cartwheels, handstand kick-ups, etc.
Also, if you're not already, you should include some cardio work in your weekly schedule.
Thanks Joshua, this is really helpful. ![]()
