Folks I have question about HBP/PE5 and HBP/PE6.This is little strange to me as PE5 is much harder than PE6 whats the sense of it?And my second question is about SL/PE2.I`m struggling with this exercise so much. Not only me but my friend also.We are able to do 5x12 but its impossible go to next week as requirement is to do 3x24 .So and what now?I would be able to do maybe 18 reps but no more..it seems to me there is big gap between 12 reps and 24 reps for this hard exercise...pls anyone can help? Thanks a lot

Hi Erhardt,
The exercises do not proceed in a linear fashion. what might be easy for one person, might be a road block for another. Your body will stop at areas of weakness, and make you spend time there. A specific PE may prepare your muscles for endurance, strength, or mobility needed later on, or it may serve to improve ROM and help decrease injury with later PE's. For instance, SL/PE2, as you've experienced, is very challenging for many people, and has been discussed ad nauseum in other threads. Once i mastered that, i flew in the next month up to PE9. The program will find and isolate and fix your weaknesses if you follow it as directed.
Regarding SL/PE2, just work microcycles where you do lesser amounts. Do 5 x 16, 5x 20, then 5 x 24. Just keep the deload weeks in sync and don't forget to deload...your body needs that to get the supercompensation that allows you to make larger steps in strength. Also, SL/PE2 is perhaps the biggest culprit of the "not pushing hard enough" syndrome. It hurts, so we stop. However, you will find you can grit your teeth and get another 5 reps and it won't kill you. Enjoy the process, most of all. SL/PE2 will go a long way to making your back more stable and strong than it has ever been before. It does wonders for posture as well. Cheers,
