Im woundering doing fl/pe1 it gets mutch harder the more you lower your legs. If i do with thigh almost straight up it feels so easy but going lower damn hard i can feel the abs. How low shud i go?

Im woundering doing fl/pe1 it gets mutch harder the more you lower your legs. If i do with thigh almost straight up it feels so easy but going lower damn hard i can feel the abs. How low shud i go?
Try to emulate the demo video. Thighs completely vertical is incorrect and as you said won't challenge the core sufficiently to prepare you for the next element. Also, you will find it difficult IME to rock in that position.
To my eyes the athlete in the demo video has his thighs around 45 degrees to the ground. The exact angle may change some depending on leg length, but I would shoot for that. Also, video yourself holding the position and then compare it to the demo video (try to record yourself from the same angle as the demo video for best comparison).
If you're still unsure post the video here for more experienced people to examine.
