Bent Arm Strength vs Straight Arm Strength

In GB we constantly talk about how bent arm strength doesn't transfer to straight arm strength. We also mention a lot about how straight arm causes biceps hypertrophy

However, it's been mentioned a couple times that rope climb provides a lot of carryover to ring strength. R1 also mentions a lot of times the importance of brachialis conditioning, a muscle that is worked even in bent arm pulling strength (elbow flexion). Of course, you have to practice a specific skill itself, but would it not make sense that a bent arm pulling exercise (in the case here of rope climbs) does in fact carryover to straight arm ring strength so long as it targets the brachialis?

By the way, since completely straight arm causes biceps hypertrophy, would it not make sense that a completely bent arm exercise causes triceps hypertrophy? I don't meant a little bent, but completely bent to stress triceps (just like a little bent does not count as straight arm).  A lot of the exercises in straight arm ring strength is to build up the biceps and brachialis strong enough to be able to master Maltese (an exercise very intense on the biceps region).

Since the Victorian is an exercise that intensely stresses the triceps, does it make sense to build the theory of maltese in reverse? Completely bent arm static exercise in disadvantaged positions in basic strength and then in ring strength to build up the triceps to be strong enough to handle Victorian?
