Hello

Just bought the book of coach sommer. After the tuck planche it is "flat tuck planche" in the foundation courses it's "open planche".

Just two questions:

- why this change coach?

- when you practice open planche is that ok or not if the knees are open on the side of the elbows (without contact of course) or does the knees need to be back and open of the elbows?

Thank you.

Matt.

Just come back to you to try to find an answer :-)

Is open planche kind of "open frog"? And as you need to open the hips, you have to flat the back and lean forward a little bit more tan tuck planche.

Thank you

Matt.

Please :-)

I begin "open planche" this week and just want to know if it's correct if the knees are on the side of the elbow (without touching).

It that better to practice it on the floor or on parallette as demonstrated in the video of the course?

Thank

Matt.

Hello Zach

Thank you for your reply. Of course I made this detail in the past post on the subject.

So Zach is that correct to do kind of "open frog" but of course knees without touching the elbow.

My question is just to know if it's acceptable to have the knees (open without contact) on the side of the elbow or if I had to put them more backward.

Thank you Zach for your answer :-)

If I remember correctly, on a previous post, coach commented that these planches were demonstrated on parallettes as that was the preference of the athlete in the video.

He also stated that floor or parallettes were fine
