several PE1 form checks

Hi,

sPL PE1: looks good in form but I have the impression that you can protract your shoulders a little more.

SL PE1: your rom is insufficient, you have to work on this one and your arms are too low, ideally there should be

a unique line from back to shoulder to arm.

MN PE1: you have a good compression and the exercise is good, you have only minor imperfections to correct: keeps

the legs and feet togheter and keep the arms in line with the lower legs when you pike and keep the feet pointed.

FL PE1: I think it is quite correct in substance, but ideally you should have the arms in line with your lower legs; the athlete

in the course video can do this by raising its back a little more than you and maybe with a little protraction of the shoulders.

I don't knom if this is an issue that you have to correct to achieve mastery. Maybe someone with more knowledge than me

will comment on this.

Your legs angles looks good, but you should keep the feet in line with the floor.

That 's what I've seen.

A greeting

SLPE1 needs work. As Ste' says ROM is off. Get ready for the long haul with this one.

MNPE1 is looking good.

With FLPE1 your legs are a little high. In the video his feet barely leave the floor - INCORRECT

Good luck mate

hey,

thanks for the advice.

i took your guys' suggestions into account.

stefano, you mentioned that i might be able to protract my shoulders more.  i made a video of sPL PE1 again.  for the first 20 seconds, i did the exercise the same way i've been doing it.  at the 0:20 mark, i tried to protract the shoulders more, but i'm not sure it made any difference.  any thoughts?

in terms of the FL PE1, i reviewed the video of the athlete in the video.  it appears to me that our feet are about the same distance from the ground, but stefano, you mentioned that the athlete raises his chest up a bit higher.  i did my FL the same way i've always done it for the first 13 seconds and raised up a little higher at 0:14.  i didn't really like the way that my neck felt, but i do feel like i was emulating the athlete in the video better.  what do you think?  is it better?

SL PE1: god damn it.  i was wondering why everyone was making a big deal out of it, but as soon as i saw my video, i realized that yeah, i'm in for the long haul with it.

thanks

Yeah I watched the video for FLPE1 again and your legs are consistent with the vid. Sorry for the misleading advice on this one.

SPL PE1: the second part of the new video is a little better, albeit slightly you protract more than before.

Try to keep your elbows always locked, you did not so in all the reps, it's not easy I know but is how the

exercise has to be done.

FL PE1: better the second version, you can raise your feet even a little more to match the height of those

of the athlete in the course video.

The reason to have a certain distance betwen the feet and the ground is that it is necessary to execute

the next element: the rock version of the exercise.

If you held the feet more close to the ground the execise would be more difficult but with that form you

could not execute the following element because there would not be enough space to perform the oscillations.

For the same reason it is important to raise well the upper back, and for this is necessary a good posterior

pelvic tilt also which I think is probably another thing that you need to improve.

It's not easy to match the form in the video perfectly but you could try to perform some ripetitions of the rock

version to see if your form is good enough to do that without problems or whether adjustments are needed.

Stretch the neck muscles when you have finished all the work with this element.
