hi guys,

i wonder why the Vsit isnt covered in foundation. it was always one of my goals. do you have any idea?

besides when would be a good point to start working on the vsit? i know the manna progression will probably the best progressions towards the vsit. but when do you think it's safe to explicitly train the vsit? my guess is after mastering msh...

You are indirectly passing over a v-sit (with hips pressed forward) when you will learn how to enter in manna position.

After mastering L-sits and straddle-L's you'll likely already have a V-sit. V-sits are mostly about having good compression. After mastering MSH you will definitely be able to do a v-sit. Bottom line: don't worry about it too much - it'll come without much additional effort if you're following the manna progressions.

The manna work will give you a V-sit before a manna.

ok thx guys. additionally can you post a picture of a CORRECTLY performed vsit? i'm still not hundret percent sure how the degree between torso and legs should be, and if the legs have to exactaly be vertical.

Look to your right on GB forums.  Carmen Amara should be a good starting point :P

Almost. The legs need to be perfectly vertical, whereas hers are at a slight angle in that photo.

Just remember, you get points deducted for not looking into the distance with disinterest.

There are 2 types of V-sits. The one shown above is done with a lot of compression while the hips aren't pushed out as much. The the other type is with the hips pushed out more.

My goals resemble yours a lot (hence my picture). But Foundation passes through the V-sit. It just happens.

It's like training 3/4 leg raises. Just work on half (L-sit) and full (manna).
