hey guys and girls - i am new to GB and about to start the f1 programming.

for all of you who are not so much interested in reading the whole story -

i wanted to ask how you got started, especially how you determinded your PE-level to start with - i just sucessfully mastered FL PE1 and now i a wondering about how to proceed - try every single PE-mastery until i reach my limit? is this something that can/should be done in one day or should i take one day for every exercise?

or maybe follow my workout shedule - for example if i prcatise FL/sPL/HBP/RC on one day - can i work through all the PEs of these exercises until i reach the limit? i hope you get why i mean ;-)

thanks for helping me out!

and now about myself - i am alice, i come from austria and i am 28 years old.

ive been working out for almost 10 years on an "on and off" basis i have tried several sports-activities already. but it was mostly weightlifting, gym-fitness, cycling, swimming and stuff... i am a rather active person.

in february last year i started "freeletics" its some sort of high intensity interval training based on bodyweight-only exercises which improved my overall fitness a lot, ive been sticking with it but started to do a lot more exercising as i got fitter - for the last half year i did a strength programming consisting of benchpress/squats + supporting exercises and strict press/deadlifts + supporting exercises, afterwards aditionally i always did one or more of my freeletics workouts. i usually work out 10-15 hours a week.

i noticed that i have rather strong legs and a strong back, however i absolutely lack upper body strength, my shoulders for example a very weak and i decided to change that - f1 seemed a good tool for that to me.

i am looking forward to following your progresses on this forum and a good conversation. that is it for now, have a great day you all! :-)

Herzlich Willkommen!  :)

Now to your question: I would do a normal workout and test one element for each movement and test the next one during the next workout. but if mastery for one element is super easy I think you could try the next one.

It seems like you could pass a few in SL and SLS but you'll see.

Edit: Just saw that this was posted in Getting Started. Remember for the future to post Foundation specific questions in the F1 Subforum.

that sounds like a good plan!

i am simply going to start training with PE1 (mastery level) for all exercises and work my way through until i reach my limits for all PEs. it might take a few days. i am training with the 4 days/week schedule - but its also a good way to get a better feeling for everything. thanks a lot!

Willkommen!

Day one : attempt mastery for the elements you would be training that day according to the schedule you chose. If you pass the first exercises and feel like you have quite a bit of energy left in the tank feel free to test the next level too.

Day two: same as day one except you are testing remaining exercises

Rest day:

Rinse and repeat.

Like jn12 said any more questions you have make sure to post in the f1 forum.

P.s. strongly recommend h1 if you want to work on shoulders.
