Am I even close? Video below. Thanks.

Also, there's a lot on repetition count but it all seems contradictory, so please help me. For side-to-side squats mastery is 10r. Is that 5R and 5L OR 10R and 10L? Thanks for setting me straight.

you can point your fingers completely forward up to pointing completely to the side. you don't need to hold that fingers facing backward position because it's too much for your elbow at the moment, see how your arms aren't locked but ever so slightly bent? try videoing that and i suspect it should look better.

and for the repetition count, unless stated it's total, so if mastery is 5x10, it could be 5x5per leg but don't feel shy in going upto 10 per leg. coach has cleared it and it should be pretty good for your joints, so to repeat; 5x5 per leg for mastery, 5x10 per leg, if you so desire.

Is this any better? I've tried pointing fingers forward but this really hurts in my wrists. Discomfort is abated A LOT by turning finger out. Is this indicative of wrist issues, i.e. weak wrists?

Also, I'm having difficulty progressing in many areas, due greatly to limited mobility. Any word on when the Stretching course will be released?

Finally a tech question - how does one post a video in the forum? I've only able to do so with a link to youtube.

Thanks

hmmm...the only time's i've gotten pain in my forearms are from them being too tight and/or doing planks and testing L-sits and planche leans without gripping the floor.

try gripping the floor and see if it makes a difference.

Not weak wrists exactly; more inflexible wrists. Your body is complaining because it is not used to working in this range of motion. While this can be a good sign in certain circumstances, it pays to err on the side of caution in this case, as wrists can be fragile. Pushing through pain here will most likely lead to injury. H1 has some very good wrist progressions, which will allow you to build up your mobility steadily and safely. You may also find some info on the public forum if you search for "wrist series".

In the mean time, your wrist issues should not curtail your planche work. Coach has stated repeatedly that hand position in planche progressions is entirely optional. As Keilani has said, palms backwards is a no no at this stage, but there are other options. Parallelettes or push up handles can be used, or you could put blocks under the heels of your hands to reduce the angle. If you are strong enough, there is also the option of using fingertips, or bending at the first knuckle aswell as the wrist. In short, whatever is comfortable.

Uhm...

1) You're too low at the hips, seems as if you were sunk.

2) Your scaps are not protracted/depressed, instead of are retracted. You've to push the floor same as on sPL/PE1-4

3) Wrist thing. You've to try different positions for your wrist, but as has been said, fingers backwards not yet.

4) Try mobilize the wrist before attempt planche leans. Search for YouTube mini warmups for them.

5) Straight your legs and don't bent the knees.

6) Good luck :D
