hey guys,

i really hate to open a new thread on that PE, but i can't find the answer to my questions.

i'll post a video next week so you have a better understanding.

1) i've noticed i have a small back and forth movement regarding my shoulders.

so when i start out with my shoulders exactly over my hands, my shoulders move forwards when

i start to retract. it's not that bad, but you can definitily notice it. Is this ok for mastery?

or should the shoulders stay over the hands during the movement (notice when i say "over the

hands" i mean in line with the hands as the hands are supposed to be placed wider than the

shoulders).

2) should we only protract our shoulders or also round our complete upperback by tucking in our

belly as hard as we can? there is quite a difference. my guess is the first.

(i hope you understand the question. will also post two pictures to clearify it.)

1. Try and keep it straight up and down.

2. I find tucking my pelvis to have a nice flat back and a solid hollow before I start was really useful in focusing on purely protraction and retraction.

3. All you need to worry about in this pe is maximal protraction and retraction while minimizing any movement from the rest of your body.

can anyone confirm that it is definitely mandatory to stay absolutely straight up and down with the shoulders above the hands

during the movement? It seems like the model also pushes a little bit forward while he retracts. I don't think will ever be

able to stay absolutely straight due to the structure of my body....

I think it is just the way the body moves along with this movement, nothing wrong with it...

The main point of this PE is just the protract/retract and as long as you can keep smooth movement in that plane it should be just fine...( even a slight sag in the body is acceptable to move on from what I remember )

Should definitely keep this PE in your warm up up IMO so you will get better if it bothers you.
