Some help about progress...

OK, so im in week 2 of a 4 day Hs+F7 integrated plan. I am not progressing as quickly on some elements as others. PE1 for manna and rope climb are troublesome for me.

Should i keep them at week 2 as other exercises progress until they catch up?

Should i add some extra volume(but not intensity) during the week for those two exercises to facilitate progress? If so i was thinking a 'grease the groove' type  of extra work of say 5 extra reps/day for 3 of the other days, would that be a good idea?

I am also being very careful with recovery because my shoulders are a bit beat up.

Thanks,

Gabe

Hi Gabe,

Elements will progress at their own pace - I'm on RC:PE 3 but on PE1 for MN and SLS. In my case it's to do with mobility.

I wouldn't add extra work, the prescribed volume is what Coach has recommended. Also some elements are harder than others HBP PE3 (PPPu) is before PE4 (dips). Their place in the course is part of the bigger picture, so don't worry about being on PE1.

You "can" stay at week two just remember when you deload to keep them in sync. Some people on here have GtG but it might not be necessary depending on the trouble you are having. Are you having trouble meeting the reps/sets or is it an issue of form?

Im having some trouble meeting reps on the Tuck up. Sets of 6 i have to break down into 2 sets of 3, first 3 are quite smooth but the last 2 are tough. Balancing is still a bit tough. Im trying not to roll up too fast and use strength instead of momentum. Am i supposed to end up on my tailbone?

Hinge rows seem wonky. They seem harder than pull ups?! How high is my butt supposed to be above the ground at the top? Seems like i have trouble with scapular depression with these as well. I have pretty long arms but i dont seem to be able to get my chin over the 'bar'.
