Daniel Burnham had an excellent suggestion: allowing certified athletes to create their own blog on the website. This is easily accomplished by enabling a blog forum module and could be a good source for both traffic and material for newsletters or FB posts.
Even if we kept it invite-only at first and required that no course material be discussed in specifics (e.g. working on manna or Foundation instead of MN/SE11).
Any objections? I would like to potentially invite Daniel B, Luke Searra, Zach Armijo, Jon D. and Desi. Luke and Zach particularly as both are potentials for Director of Training. It would allow us to see what they're doing, and could be a vital aspect of that position. DoT should have a strong online presence and this allows them to build rapport with GB students.
If the blog idea becomes very popular, we can also monetize it for general membership (same restrictions). Though we would need a dedicated moderator if that was the case.
Posted a sample blog under "Athlete Blogs" in the top menu. Only admin/CM can see it.
