Though I am not anywhere close to doing this, just reading and dreaming, but aren't these two the same? Just SE8 is a bit slower than SE10? Or is SE8 supposed to be for time?

Joshua Slocum

In SE8 you extend one leg at a time and then retract the other. In SE10 you retract one leg while extending the other.

Edit - fixed working to be clear.

Josh you just sad the same thing twice. To me the difference sounds like se8 starts retracted and se10 starts extended but if you think about the movement it's still the same.... This is based purely on what you two have written I haven't looked at the videos yet.

Ah okay watched it now, like josh said although some what confusingly, pe8 extend one leg at a time while pe10 both legs move at the same time while one extends the other retracts. Pretty similar except one exercise the legs move independlty of each other and the oter exercise they move simultaneously.

As Josh said, there is a distinct difference in both execution and intensity.

One begins and ends in the half straddle planche; moving only a single leg at a time. In the other, both legs are moving simultaneously which makes the exercise significantly more difficult.
