Hey everyone,

Just started following a foundation workout.

Regarding the Shoulder bridge, in some of the progressions the athletes are performing them with bent legs others with straight legs. Is this akin to performing the HBH with arms overhead or by the side?

My belief had been that the shoulder bridges were to develop ROM throughout the spine and the strength/mobility to achieve extension throughout the spine and legs/hips. So I figured practicing with straight legs would be significantly more beneficial later on when moving onto actual bridge work.

My apologies if this has already been covered, but i did a quick search which turned up no results.

Regards,

Ed

Do them as in the vids. Bent on 5iM and straighter on 6iM. They evolve more in F2.

As you try to push with heels as you will get benefit. pay attention to bend the thoracic spine not the lumbar.

Hip flexor and abs flexibility could be a limiting  factor.
