To complete the mastery how heavy should the bare be in Im excercises? Currently i using 2.5 kg around 5 lbs is that enough or what is optimal?

That's what the focus point on HS-PE1-im says.
Ok. so 2.5 kg its a mastery. im going to try to add 1.25
but one question in the Im 1 how much should you lean forward and how long distance between hands?
Im currently on Im 2 and my hands are soon level with the shoulders. but i been doing just with 1.25 but goiing to do 2.5 today session.
shoulder width for the first 4 iM's, shoulder width + hand width for dislocates
have to try that.think ive been doing wider than shoulder with. problem when im sitting like in the video my back is curving when im leaning forward
5lbs is sufficient for mastery, e.g. to move on to the next exercise. However, you should keep the exercises as a part of your warmup and use progressively greater and greater weights as time goes on.
Yes. i changed my warm up an streching after training completely today. To different mobility excercises in the Foundation and hs series. Think this would help me alot to get more mobile and flexible
I'm fairly certain that there shouldn't be an arch in your back. Perhaps someone else can confirm this.Boris Mikael Taube said:have to try that.think ive been doing wider than shoulder with. problem when im sitting like in the video my back is curving when im leaning forward
I can't lean forward without my back curving out a bit while sitting like that if mastery requires absolutely straight back then I will be stuck on this for a year..... Not an exaggeration.... I think the main focus is on the traps flexion anyway
round back = tight glutes. just stretch piriformis and mobilize it in external rotation (been working on it and it's showing, so is richard hamilton. im following the stretches he's doing)

What the other guys said Boris, if your back is going into flexion then you need to work on your hip mobility. For the time being you can sit on some blocks and gradually lower them as your mobility improves ![]()

Oh, man, I just have to add here - the piriformis stretch in Kit laughlins book stretching and flexibility, I believe chapter 3 (too lazy to look), is just pure gold. It opened up so many movements for me, and fixed my arching back in pe1...literally overnight. Totally recommend it for people having issues with this.
There is also the last stretch in the daily 5 for piriformis, but the one in chapter 3 is so amazing.
You to lean forward at least of 30-45°, you need to build up some basic traps strength.
With less lean you are moving the body over vertical line. since the traps work for flexion of the arms you need to introduce a small horizontal weight component to activate them a little.
ok. its great to have so much response on the forum when im wondering about something and thanks for all the tips. Im currently on hanstand PE2 ant tim Im 2 is actually going well. But im going to add the HS IM1 every training day. I have the supple leopard book. Have to strech everyday, I have so tight hip flexors
