Hello fellow foundationers! Form checks for ppp and planche leans.

Adequate lean? Already got 30s leans a few months ago but thought i needed to lean some more.

Just 5cm more lean makes it so much harder

So hard to keep the toes pointed during ppps.

Any comments are appreciated!

Looks like you are losing scapular protraction in the leans.

Chest should touch the floor on the PPPU's and try to keep protracting!!

Niklas03

You start both movements with a good protraction shrug, but then you come out of it and perform the lean "sunken in". Protract, keep yourself as far a way from the floor as possible and the lean.

To increase the ROM for the push-ups you need to pull the head back, make a double chin. You wouldn't stand with a head posture like that. Vertical, horizontal, it doesn't matter. Keep the head in line with the body.

Thanks for the advice Awarenesss and Niklas03. Seems like I need more protraction strength and also need to concentrate more on pushing my hands towards the floor.

Thought my neck seemed weird in the videos, gotta fix that as well  :)

And yes my ppps weren't quite deep enough.

Going to up new form checks in a few weeks concentrating on the advice given here.

Thanks again!

Already been said everything.

When you push the floor and put everything OK look at your hips; it get elevated, it looks good. But when you lean forward your hips sunken it and also your protraction. Also keep tension along the body (abs, glutes, legs even feet). Maybe your actual ROM lean is bit less than that.

In PPP same problem; your hips sunken it (and you put your whole body good at the start) when you lean and therefore you've more weight to resist with your upper back that with the excess of lean makes you protract and also piking at the hips losing the hollow.

You've to find one tool that when you put it on the feet don't slide backwards. I use slippers that I don't now why but it gave me the lean and not slide backwards.

Keep work!

Yes I can see now that my hips instantly sink a little when i start to lean forward. Tension of the lower body is something i need to work on as well.
Have to test ppps with slippers on. Seems like it could work.

Thanks for good advice Adriano.

Ok. Been trying to improve my form and it's time for updated form checks :)

Reduced the lean a little for both progressions.

I think the hollow position is getting better now and also the protraction is better. But still losing a little bit of protraction at max lean. Piking too much?

Hips still sinking too much? Getting a bit deeper now, but still its hard to get the chest all the way to the floor before my face touches the floor.

Looking forward for any comments and advice!
