During a mobility exrecise (IM) whether it is done for reps or time, is it correct to assume that if it is a movment that can be done for both sides the number of reps/time would be done for each side? for example:

Standing hip circle (SL/PE1>im) would be done 10 reps for each side for a total of 20 reps per set.

RC/PE4>im--- the same, 20 reps for sets ans so on.

standing hip circles = 5 reps each direction

same for RC/PE4>iM

:)

unilateral(10 reps for example) = 10 reps on each arm
if both hands are being used(10 reps for example)= 5 on each

this topic should be a sticky, i think :D

when i found out, i cried. because mobility. but it HAS been improving ROM, strength and mobility wise. myofascial work has gone a LONG way for me and ever since getting ahold of "Trigger Points" from the app store, i'm working on releasing muscles along the myofascial chain. something everyone should look into, for sure ^_^

Ok I'm still confused... so for Xiaopeng Forward, do we do 5 reps each side each time? Or do we do 5 reps one side one time, then the next time do the other side?

5 each side for each iM in each set.

5 reps each side each time, a total of 10 reps every time you finish a set.

I don't know how people are so confused about this. If all my difficulties with F1 were this... :D

So sPL/PE2>iM would be 10 reps each leg, 20 reps total, right?

5 per leg ^_^

i would say yes: "10r PER leg after each work set"

it's an alternating PE and the next one is the exact same with both legs but its 5 reps. why would the first PE be 10 reps and bump back down to 5 reps on the subsequent one?

edit: misread the online course, disregard this comment^^^^

I originally thought the same as you, 5 reps per side, but the directions pretty clearly state that's it 10 per leg. As for the question about why the next iM would drop to 5 per leg? Mainly because the intensity increases for that progression, it would be similar to 5x15 incline rows and then dropping to 5x10 ground rows.

think so, the exercise, the PE is getting harder, so no need to have to much iM...just guessing :D

oh, how interesting. i just checked the difference between my physical copy of foundation on ePub and the online course and only on the online version does it say 10 rep per leg. thanks for pointing that out for me :)

I think they're slowly going back and changing all the text to avoid confusion like this.
