Please critique my planche leans

You are piked too much. Work on lessening this (your body won't be an entire straight line due to scapular protraction) and you'll have mastery form. Lean however could be a tad farther.
Oh man Cory just nailed me for a similar problem.
To do a correct planche lean i need to do the cues in order. Hips down, tense lats, cramp chest/shoulders, then lastly pinch up upper back (below shoulders, could be mid back). Lean as far as you can while doing all that, don't lean to the point you are stjuggling just to hold the lean if it costs you form
The lat thing made the biggest difference for me. Learn how to tense them and get em in on the action ![]()
As said there is too much piking which makes it a lot easier. The ideal is to have a completely straight body with full protraction. A little bit of piking or hollowing is acceptable. The mastery level lean in F1 seems to be about a few inches more than your current amount of lean so strive to get your hands a few inches back.
Also remember that full protraction does not mean to round the upper back but , better, the medium/upper back. the first case is usually related with some shoulders elevation compared with second version that wants shoulders depression and lats activation. in that way the rounding is moved lower.
Thanks so much guys for your input! I'll have another attempt after my shoulder recovers a bit from soreness. Is it too easy to go too hard with these and get injured?
I'm not sure if it was these that have caused soreness recently or HeSPU negatives.......or both combined.
Is lat tension part to keep proper scapular positioning? Depressed and protracted?
