Recent state of my OAHS training.

I changed my training significantly, based on Handbalancers advice. Stopped training legs together and made effort to build supported straddle OAHS up to 30s.

Now i ocasionaly try to remove the support hand from the ground (video), but with little succes. I feel that balance is here, but something is missing. My flexibility is not great (working on that) and my toe "point" is horrible but other than that?

Thanks a lot!

A couple thoughts:

I hope you train both arms equally.

When you shift over, there should be no collapse in the shoulder.  If you watch closely you let it come down a bit.  Push more.

Work flexibility a lot harder.

You let your hips rotate a bit when you shift weight.  This will be exaggerated when you try to remove the hand.

Lock the shoulder, do not let it move from position.

Think of your body staying in center when you balance on one arm.  Try not to let it tilt too far sideways or backwards.

When you remove the arm, the focus must still be on your body and the balance you keep there.  If you focus on the arm, the body will fall.  Ideally when you move the arm there should be no movement elsewhere.  To do this you have to keep the arm soft and relaxed.  The movements you make with it must be slow and deliberate.

Watch my video on this:

If you have solid balance on one arm and one finger(or even fingertips with very light pressure) the next step is to take all the weight off the arm and gently tap the hand on the floor.  The whole time you still have to think about your balance
