This is something we've been missing for some time. We need a general GB and Coach Sommer bio as well as bio's for everyone else on the team. I will also contact the moderators and get bios from them.

About Us pages typically get a large share of traffic. I also see this as an opportunity to efficiently distinguish us from the competition. We have a much larger pool of expertise even when excluding Coach: especially compared to the self-appointed "experts" we compete with for market share.

Nic Branson

Bio below posted for review.

Nic Branson has been a personal trainer since 2001, when he became certified through the International Sports Science Association. While attending the University of Connecticut to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies, with a concentration in Kinesiology, he was certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Nic always seeks to grow his knowledge as a personal trainer, so in June 2009 he became a Russian Kettlebell Certified (RKC) instructor. In October 2010, he built onto his RKC certification by adding a Certified Kettlebell-Functional Movement Screen (CK-FMS). However, his training skills have not ended with kettlebells. Nic’s other training interests include Indian Clubs, Powerlifting, Strongman, Olympic lifting, and various circus skills.

Since 2008, he began to look for more body weight training styles and came to find the Gymnastic Bodies forums. As part of forum discussions, he found that the GB foundation was a balance of his current interests, combining strength and movement into a complete training system.  It provided a chance to learn directly from a National Team Coach in Coach Sommer, while also being supported by a diverse community with varying backgrounds of training.  Such support has lead to Nic achieving the distinction of GB Coach, as he advances his body weight training skill set.

In his professional career outside of GB, he’s worked as a personal trainer in various gyms, including ESPN and his own personal studio, training both individuals and teaching group classes. During his time at the University of Connecticut, he worked with the Strength and Conditioning staff, training many of the university's Division 1 athletes.

Need to postpone this to next week as I have to prepare for a Yoga Teacher Training workshop I'm giving this weekend.

Orench Lagman

Orench Lagman, owner of Awaken Adult Gymnastics, has an enduring passion for fitness, and it shows. After earning his BS in Exercise Science from Metro State University in Denver in 1999, he was awarded a prestigious internship at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. A lifelong martial artist and Muay Thai practitioner, Orench was honored to serve as an assistant coach for USA Men's and Women's taekwondo programs, as well as assisting the Olympic volleyball, NBA, wrestling and speed skating teams using Olympic Lifting techniques and strength training protocols. Following this endeavor, he took his Olympic level knowledge to 'the masses,' as a personal health and fitness trainer, working with men and women from all walks of life, an experience from which he learned how to effectively motivate every type of fitness enthusiast. In all, he's been training men and women at various levels of fitness, from working professionals to athletes looking to elevate their training, for over 17 years.

In January of 2009, Orench moved decisively to a gymnastics-based approach to fitness, not only for his clients, but in his own personal exercise regimen. He participated in the Gymnastics Bodies ® series of seminars taught by world renowned gymnastics coach Christopher Sommer beginning in 2010, and recently accepted Sommer's gracious offer to assist the Coach in his latest, global series of seminars, starting in London.

Orench's fitness vision/mission/philosophy is to change the way we practice fitness: using body weight to create and sculpt a balanced body. Not just in the gym but the way we practice life. Freedom, play, flow, gymnastics.
