Dear community i would be very thankful for any advices concerning my problem: I think that during the last session of stiff leg windmills i strained either the semitendinosus or  semimembranosus of my left leg quite badly. However the pain dissapeared completely the next days but after having done one set of these today the pain returned immediately so i was forced to stop that exercise. What`s the best thing i could in such a situation ? I just thought about cutting out this exercices at least for one week and starting with a really light weight (I was performing it with 10kg) after that week to customize the muscle to the stretch again. What do you think about that ? Thanks in advance !

if is a strain you can apply some ice, be careful with the posterior part of the legs. strain usually disappear in 3-5 day completely if they are light. heavy strain let to difficulty to walk on run  or jump.

be sure to use a good breath tempo so that the relax process is maximized and the muscle is actively elongated, don't think that stretch and relax is passive matter, everytime you are breathing, thousand reactions take place to caryy out of the muscle cells substances that actually are working against new level of flexibility.

5 to 10 days off this exercise and other hamstring ones too.

Ice & hot alternatively.

Heat cream.

Start again with very light stretching in 6 or 7 days - stop if any pain and rest some more.

Take your time to heal well before returning to previous program. :)

When you do these again, make sure that the leg you are bending towards is pretty much at 90 degrees to the rear foot. This will help you support the load more evenly.

Thanks for your input Josh  :)  Actually i`ve been doing it this way already. I think my fault was not to warm up my legs properly before doing them and after having increased the weight over time the load maybe has just become to high for my not prepared legs.
