Hi guys,

I was wondering if you need to focus on a hollow body during the pull ups ?

In the video the athlete focuses on a straight body I believe.

straight is acceptable. if you look forward to more advanced skills like strict muscle up on the bar you can understand how you can't do it by arching your back, you need to generate some space near you ribcage/lower chest to make the transition easier. personally i'm doing only hollow pullup, by the way at certain level of flexibility and mobility in the shoulders and hips the hollow looks like a straight line. look over certain HS form of professional specialist like yuri or handbalancer. their body are straight and their body are hollowed with hand, shoulders, knee and feet over the same line..how much is big the thin line between perfect hollow and straight?   ;)  ;)

I didn't make that connection. Thanks for pointing that out, lightbulb moment!
