Why is this - Is it because the sPL progressions take longer to complete?

I think it's based on the 'strength chart' levels. The 1.5, 2.0 etc are the benchmarks, and there's only so much they can be broken down in between those markers.
Different elements tend to develop at different paces. There's still plenty of material to come. ![]()
Also note that the exercises divide into logical groups.
It will be even more clear as the series progresses.

...and planche in particular develops slowly, I get it.

Ironically it took less total time of training for me to achieve a planche than a FL despite the balance and more skill needed for the former.
