i want to share with you a simple stupid thing i did today. i wasn't able to train pancake with partner assistance as i usually do following Kit's book. so i recalled an exercises that Coach showed during the finland seminar talking about compression for stalder press to hs..at the stall bar.

usually i prefer to use the pnf system to improve but normally is difficult maintain the same degree of stretch for a long time especially during the relaxation..

i discovered that by a chance. i used a inclined mat to avoid accident and in that situation you did the contraction against the stall bar and then you relax, during the relax you can pull yourself higher and rest in that position without putting to much effort in the pulling movement...so big energy is saved, and more strength is available for long stretch! enjoy that!

in addition to that i've noticed a great improvement in passive compression!!

It is a good way to use loaded passive stretching, and there more variations that can be used for straddle and pike mobility as well.

yes of course there are multiple way..my point is that is some poses is difficult maintain a certain position of relaxation or contraction if you have to involve actively other muscles. the reason is simply a general body tension that can be an obstacle for some muscles relaxation. my way simply is an idea to find a relaxed position between the contraction without generate to much tension. using something more rigid  under the back is better..

That's awesome Alex! Pretty good thinking there, I'd say.

Prefer mine made from whole wheat and oat flour, with grass fed butter....
