Hi, i love all front lever variation i can do a front lever for 3 solid second hold and 5-8 reps of front lever pull.

A question about front lever and back (latissimus dorsi and traps):

The front lever (and front lever pull) is superior than a regular pull up for lat development?

thank's for all reply!

From what I've read, front lever pulls are definitely superior to pullups for lat development

It sort of depends what you mean by "superior".  Lats are big muscles and can do a lot of work. Limiting muscles are often something else.

For pull ups, biceps or grip can easily give up sooner than lats. Similar things go for FL (pulls), with shoulders, triceps and possibly abs in the picture.

To develop lats, you want your lats to be the limiting muscles.

If you mean just BW, obviously FL pulls demand more from your lats, but throw some extra weight to your pull ups and it comes down to many things. I think the best thing is ring rows though, they manage to pretty much isolate the lats, so I'd assume those would be the biggest benefit with appropriate progression/weight.
