hs hold best respect IM

hi, i'm in a strange situation.

i found the H1 is just amazing!

let's talk about my problem..

over the last years i've developed a great shoulders flexibility, working over dislocates, bridges, lats stretch and much more. so now i'm at the poitn where in the 90% of my hs hold i can maintain a good alignment in the hs (you can see it in the handstand section) for at least 90 seconds. the problem is that if one side i am very flexible in exercises like bridge that helped me to achieve my bodyline on the other side i am a little bit rigid in other exercises as HS/PE2>IM. my biggest problem are all the exercise of this family.

but for example maintain the paired HS/PE exercises as forearms hs is very very easy.

actually probably i can compete with HS/PE11 and HS/PE12

so the best choice is??

maintain the current level of hs without increase the effort in the sets and gain my mobility from exercise to exercise where i feel myself more rigid?

thanks to all

Nic Branson

Quick look in the HS section and your line does look good. If you can hold it for that amount of time reliably then you would be ok maintaining while working on your mobility. This is a case by case scenario of course not advice for anyone else.

ok thanks..really it's strange, i'm locked at the second mobility...more work for me  :D  :D  :D

:) definetly a week link of mine! Have you tried under grip dislocate?

Christian

Theory: the undergrip dislocates. I believe people are having such a hard time with the because they grasp the bar in undergrip in front of the body. It should be behind the body. So take bar, place it behind your back inside of hands facing forward. Doing the dislocate ends in front of body with twisted wrists. The side of the hand the thumb is on will be the same either way, thus making it difficult to see from a picture/video.

End of theory.

I might be wrong on both counts here. That people are having a hard time doing it from behind the back OR that you should start from in front. I just can't remember ever having done that at a seminar or ever before seen it.

Opionons?

Rachid Tahri

I agree with you Christian. The picture/movie give the impression that one should hold the bar the same way as in a chin up, but the

wrists are twisted indeed! Also if you start with the bar behind you, you can get the bar up by trying to pull the bar apart.

Alex: I also get stuck on mobility drills: we met already on youtube  ;) but I think in your case you could continue your training while fixing your mobility. I think that Coach Sommer said something similar to Nachotraining who was fairly advanced.

yes mats i tried them and i hate them. consider that with normal grip i do the dislocate at shoulders distance or less. with undergrip? maybe double shoulders distance. especially if i do them prone on the floor like hs/pe8 IM, when the bar is on the back no problem, when it starts to go down in the front looks like a bar from 0.5 kg it weights 20 kg!

and reading the coach essays i have to use 5 lbs minimum. but i don't have it, the only one bar i have is 8 kg and actually i'm using it for hs/pe2...cramps every single moments!
