You need to go to a specialist and get evaluated.
There are a lot of things that could be happening, and you really need an in-person evaluation to figure out what the deal is.
Thanks for the quick response Joshua, i will go see a specialist then
This is always the best thing to do. For you, seeing someone who is familiar with bench press syndrome, which quite honestly is a whole lot of people, is a good idea. When you go in, ask them if they can do specific muscle tests for serratus anterior and the rest of the scapular musculature throughout the shoulder's ROM (arms above head. at shoulder level, and wherever else they want to do it) after they do their regular evaluation (if they don't just do this as a part of it). Be interactive, ask them what they are doing and why, but don't slow them down. This can be a big learning opportunity for you!
There's nothing wrong with asking them to watch you do a push up with your shirt off, just to see if they can identify any obvious problems that don't show up with individual muscle testing. This should be one of your last questions, I think, unless they have already identified scapular issues at this point. If so, you can always ask at one of your therapy sessions.
Thank you very much Joshua
