An inverted opposite?

Sounds like a mathematical function?

Wondering if there's any special benefit doing an inverted opposite of a known exercise.

For example an inverted dip (commonly called a inverted pull-up), the inverse of a dip.

Does it pull the same muscles or the antagonistic muscles that the dip pushes?

Would this help dips or stability during dips?

It does seem to be a precursor for the reverse muscle up (one day perhaps).

But would it make normal muscle-ups potentially easier or really have no effect?

Another example: the true inverted opposite of a pull-up is a handstand press, I think?

It pushes the muscles or antagonisic muscles that the pull-up pulls (not a kinesology buff).

Is it good to pair these two exercises?

Make sense? I hope!

Thanks...
