Hi!

The skill performed at 0:54 @

what is it called? and is it all about flexibility or does it have some sort of technique behind it?

Any good ways of training it?

(the skill I'm talking about is when you go from a normal hang into a german hang)

Thanks!

Chris

I think it's: Slow inlocate from hang

as seen in the Code of Points 2009-2012 V6, number 49

Only way I can think of to train it is some sort of self spot. Be it toes on the ground with low rings or in a harness or with a spotter.

Yes, it´s slow inlocate from hang and has an A value(.1). The first thing you´d have to train in order to perform this is in-locates and dislocates with a bar, and as you get more flexible, start bringing the hand together. You have to have a very high degree of shoulder mobility as well as tons of flexibility. Once your hand are pretty close, replace the bar for a theraband, one that is really tight which will now start to develop strength.

It's an 'a' value - the lowest scored category. It requires a *lot* of shoulder flexibility but only modest amount of strength.
