Become smaller with gymnastics?

I was reading on other gymnastic related forums and even experienced on my self, that with all this gymnastic exercises such as planche, levers and other related stuff, altough you become more muscular and riped, you dont become "big"?

I mean, there is diference between squats, deadlifts, and weighted pullups where with good food and proper program you really become big and muscular, but with gymnastics, you become strong,no doubt about it but somehow you become somewhat smaller in this weird way?

I dont know if someone understands what I am trying to say, but any reply would be apricieted!

Trust me you become big, I'm a ring, and p-bar man, I've noticed a lot in my triceps and biceps, you do become more ripped rather than larger, because gymnastics works on the finer points, hell anyone sees a person on rings they say oh they are just holding their body weight up, when a gymnast sees another gymnast doing that they see ok so he has put some work into being able to stabilize himself up there and keep balance. I work with weights and a lot of bodyweight on top of my gymnastics and over all everything is going great, I'm not swelling up like a balloon and looking to gain mass, I'm getting a boat load stronger while keeping +/-5 pounds in my weight I want to stay at, but I am noticing improvements in sizes of many different muscles.
