Nice work. Thats all I have to say, but I have a question for anybody else who reads this:

Why the hell is he so strong, despite of low levels of muscle mass (no offense buddy, but you're really lean, considering that you can hold a straddle PL) I mean, he seems to have same strenght in BL as me, or maybe hes stronger, and if this is his first time on rings, what the heck is going on? Why the hell he can hold a straddle planche without rupturing his biceps tendon? I'm close to full planche in my PL leans, and the tension is so high that I think I need another few months to prepare my b. tendon for that. Also he can lower down to 90 pushup?! (Rago, don't take this personally, I'm not a hater, I just want to know why the hell you're that strong)

I blame his deltoids - as I'm pulling dominant with very, very weak pressing (HeSPU) but my dips are pretty good (5-6RM at 16kg PB)

Strength isn't just about muscle mass. It also has to do with motor units and how well your body recruits them. That's why everyone mentions strength being a skill and that's why 1-3 reps gets used with very heavy weights. It is also possible that he has good genetics.

No offense taken, haha. The thing is, I've always been strong and I seem to be able to train continuously without needing to rest my muscles. However, I can't seem to be able to do HSPU's, but I can do 3 handstand press-ups (Going from tuck planche to handstand, but with bend arms).

Come on :D When did this thread turn into a comedy show? :D There is 99,9% chance that your elbows are bent, or you're simply not low enough... But if you really did your IC without any prehab (your elbows are bent even in support) then make sure you become a ring specialist. :D

Don´t get frustrated. You are strong, man!

I see the vids of Rago and he is a strong guy as well, but haven´t see a straddle planche on the vids. Just attempt straddle PL with bent elbows, but straight the elbows is another world.

Yaad, keep it up the L-sit press to straddle PL!..This exercise helped me a lot to get a great straddle PL (just,be carefully to don´t bent the elbows)

I can hold a bend one for like 60 seconds, a straight arm one only for 3 seconds.

I'm not frustrated, nor I'm trying to put him down, even if it looks like that, the thing is, it takes a year (or few years) to prepare your body for IC without destroying it in the process.

Depends on your body-type. I am lucky with mine, I give you that. Heck, I got the iron cross without really training for it. In total, I paid 1 hour of attention to it.

This is something I would like to see if you ever have the chance to video it.

Sure, I'll try to make a video if my coach allows me to do rings next week.

Awesome! Thanks! Looking forward to it.

Here ya go:

Nice one, but if my eyes don't fool me, you have slightly bent elbows, and there is no shrug in the shoulders / elbows pointing up, as I know what happened to tsoonami's elbows when he had this cross and tried with proper form and straight elbows, I suggest you don't try those. You may know how to squeeze to get there, but your elbows will snap. Although I like it, keep up the good work!

(just to be sure - there are more ways to hold it, not just shrugged shoulders and elbows poiting up, I just have the freaking habit of holding everything with nothing less than a straight elbow)

My arms were locked, since the planche training I try to do everything with locked arms. But I don't get what you mean with the shoulders?

Slow down, go through the proper progressions, or this won't end well for your joints. You'll be stronger in the long run vs injured very soon.

That's the thing, I've been training everything this way, never had any problems. I always feel muscle soarness at the the next day. But never any other pain. But I don't get what could go wrong with my joints? I know the fall in the second iron cross was wrong, I won't he doing thay anytime soon.

Well you are still a young and haven't had any problem with your joints, this is why you don''t get it.

There is a very high likelihood that you will get problems, IC is a different world. Honestly without a good muscle up and RTO support playing with IC is looking for trouble. You are playing with a Tiger but think its a kitty cat.

No one is trying to insult you, but i just believe what Coach says about IC and am old enough to know that joint pain comes with no warning, and its the worst kind of pain.

Look, it's nice that you don't get what could go wrong, but even you have the strenght to lower through it like that, you are human like rest of us, you don't have titanium tendons or soft tissues, and they will be damaged eventually, and you don't want that to happen.

I myself have damaged my forearms by trying tuck planches too soon and I still haven't get rid of that injury. Trying IC now is just ego, and nothing but ego. You have to accept that, if you have ego bigger than your strength, bad things are going to happen.

It's not like we're trying to hold you back, but everyone of us who posted here have or had some sort of joint injury, and believe us, you don't want that to happen to you.

I undetstand that if you train it frequently, you can damage muscles or joints. However, I train them only 15 minutes a week. Not even training them, just attempting them and see whether I can go far enough. I can do both levers now, tried front this morning and I can do muscle-ups on the bar. Isn't that the requirements that you need to have for a IC?

The cross looks slightly high at the point you stop but that is still pretty strong. I can do the same and I was surprised too when I first tried it and it was a bit easier than expected. I am not crazy enough to actually work it though. I only do very wide supports. Look up Coach's prerequisites for IC training.

Can't find anything. Also, I don't really stop, I just go down slower, the first IC in my video is the best, as it gets pretty low before I let it go. Also, I too felt it was suprisingly easy and I feel quite comfortable holding the position. It's not like a straddle planche simly sucking all my strength.
